New Times Med founder and president Cesar Barragan, as well as the rest of the vendor's staff, will become ACOM employees and work in the electronic medical records division.
"RAPID is an EMR solution that generates medical narratives and medico-legal reports. Standard Initial, Re-examinations and Final reports for automobile accidents, workers comp and slip and fall as well as wellness patients. The Daily Notes section can generate a fully detailed report for a daily visit or a simple SOAP. As you walk through RAPID you will encounter neurological examinations, orthopedic tests, ROM, muscle testing, Outcomes Assessment, Impairment Rating among others.
RAPID not only writes the reports but also keeps your medical records organized and handy and captures any other external document into the patient folder to become a real paperless solution.
RAPID initial version was developed about 3 years ago under the guidance of a medical Doctor in Tampa Bay area. As a dentist and operation manager of the development of RAPID, my vision was completely different to any other EMR solution in the market today.
RAPID was designed by doctors for doctors. After a year of continuous development and improvements made to the program by other physicians, we were at the door of our first chiropractor who immediately liked the scheme and design of our software. However, the program was lacking a lot of chiropractic tests, terminology and medico-legal features. We modified RAPID to be chiropractic friendly with Dr. Clayton Hopkins as our guide. Dr. Hopkins is an authority in the country as a forensic chiropractor and soon, his input help us growth the software in a progressive scale to the point that with no doubt we have the most complete and professional medico-legal software for chiropractors in the United States.
RAPID is close to 100% customizable making it an unique tool for every specific practice.
Since day one, RAPID was developed to be totally workable by the keyboard or the mouse. When the new Tablet PC technology arrived we were already prepared and changes in our program were close to zero. Even today there is not a single new feature in RAPID that is not being developed having in mind the Tablet PC. RAPID is a database that is ready for any kind of network and we have customers with a variety of environments with laptops, desktops and Tablet PCs. HELPERS in RAPID are the most efficient way to work with a Tablet PC to avoid misspellings and extra editing. Because RAPID reports are generated in Microsoft Word ©, many options to use the tablet technology to sign a document are available other that the typical signature on a paper report."
