First Sub-$1,000

"Now this is some of the best Tablet PC news I have heard in months!  It is my opinion that the #1 reason that the Tablet PC has not fully made its way into the mainstream retail market is simply its hefty price tag.  Well, that may no longer be a barrier to those who want a Tablet, but have been "priced out" by manufacturers asking what seems to be unreasonable amounts over $2000. After all, consumers can buy a similar notebook as an alternative for roughly half the cost.

However, it looks now as though the market is in for a real change, as reports from various sources confirm the release of a Convertible Tablet PC manufactured by Averatec (not a Windows CE-Based "Pad"), but a FULL BLOWN Tablet PC that will be priced at $1,100.  And, better yet could be under $1,000 after rebates.  I have personally used Averatec lightweight notebooks and have been pleasantly surprised with the quality, style and price.  Futher speculation also suggests that the new Tablet will be released in early summer and probably be powered by an AMD processor.  For further information, stay tuned with us here at BargainTabletPC.com and be sure to check out this link: "
