Accela Wireless and HP worked together to enable health inspectors to conduct health and safety inspections, find those pesky rodents in french fries, and then update the permit records on the spot. The system also incorporates a GIS component that even lets inspectors get from one location to the next in a more efficient manner. So the taxpayers' dollars go toward making at least some parts of the government more productive.
